Wafid / GAMCA Medical Centers
Hyderabad — Complete Guide
Hyderabad applicants seeking a GAMCA / Wafid medical test for GCC visa must book through Karachi — the nearest approved WAFID city. This page explains the process, travel options, and everything you need to know.
Hyderabad Has No Wafid / GAMCA Approved Centers
The Gulf Health Council (GHC) does not currently have any officially approved Wafid / GAMCA medical centers in Hyderabad city. If you are from Hyderabad and need a GAMCA medical examination for a GCC visa, you must book your appointment under Karachi — the nearest WAFID-designated city with 16 approved centers. This is the standard process for all applicants from Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Dadu, Thatta, and interior Sindh. See Karachi booking details below.

GAMCA / Wafid Medical Test for Hyderabad Applicants — Complete Guide 2025
Hyderabad is Sindh’s second-largest city and one of Pakistan’s major urban centres, with a significant population of workers seeking employment in GCC countries — particularly Saudi Arabia and the UAE. However, unlike Karachi, Lahore, or Islamabad, Hyderabad does not have any officially approved Wafid / GAMCA medical centers connected to the Gulf Health Council’s WAFID system. This is a common source of confusion for Hyderabad applicants who search online and find various clinics claiming to offer GAMCA tests locally.
Why Does Hyderabad Have No GAMCA Centers?
The Gulf Health Council approves GAMCA centers based on applicant volume, healthcare infrastructure, and regional demand. While Hyderabad sends a substantial number of workers to GCC countries each year, the Gulf Health Council has not yet established an approved center in the city. Karachi — Pakistan’s largest city and economic capital — serves as the designated WAFID hub for the entire Sindh province, including Hyderabad, which is approximately 160 km away via the M-9 Motorway.
There have historically been discussions about expanding WAFID-approved centers to Hyderabad, but as of 2025 no official center has been authorized. This may change in future years if the Gulf Health Council reviews the regional demand from interior Sindh applicants.
Which Documents Do Hyderabad Applicants Need?
- Original passport with at least 7 months and 21 days of remaining validity
- 2 photocopies of the passport bio-data page
- Wafid / GAMCA appointment token slip (PDF delivered to your WhatsApp within 30 minutes of booking)
- 2–4 recent passport-size photographs with white background
- CNIC copy (Computerized National Identity Card)
- Cash for the medical test fee at the Karachi center (Rs. 8,000–12,000)
- Visa copy or employment offer letter from your GCC sponsor if available
Can I Do My GAMCA Test at a Private Clinic in Hyderabad?
No. Private clinics and hospitals in Hyderabad — even well-known or accredited ones — cannot conduct a valid GAMCA examination unless they are specifically approved by the Gulf Health Council and listed in the WAFID system. Getting a medical certificate from an unauthorized clinic is a complete waste of money, as the result will not appear on the official WAFID portal and will be rejected by all GCC embassies. Only the 16 Karachi centers listed on our Karachi centers page are valid for Hyderabad applicants.
Tips for Hyderabad Applicants Traveling to Karachi
- Book early in the week — Don’t book for Monday as it’s the busiest day at Karachi centers. Tuesday through Thursday mornings are ideal.
- Travel the night before if possible — Arriving in Karachi the evening before your appointment eliminates the stress of early morning travel and lets you arrive at the center well before opening.
- Confirm your center address — Karachi centers are spread across different areas. Your token slip will show the exact center. Don’t confuse PECHS centers with DHA centers or North Karachi centers — they are far apart in the city.
- Bring all documents in one folder — Passport, copies, slip, photos, CNIC copy, and sufficient cash for the examination fee.
- Check results from Hyderabad — Once your test is done, you can check your result from home in Hyderabad on our report check page — no need to return to Karachi.
What GCC Countries Can Hyderabad Applicants Apply For?
Hyderabad applicants can book GAMCA medical appointments for all GCC countries through the Karachi booking category: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Yemen. When booking, select the specific GCC country that matches your visa — this determines the medical protocols applied during your examination and the embassy that will verify your result.
