GAMCA / Wafid Medical Test in Peshawar — Full Guide 2025
Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is one of Pakistan’s most important WAFID-approved cities for Gulf visa medical testing. With 28 officially approved Gulf Health Council centers distributed across the city’s major areas, Peshawar serves a wide geographic catchment that includes all of KPK province, former FATA districts (now merged), and portions of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir that are within practical travel distance. Peshawar has the highest number of approved GAMCA centers of any city in Pakistan, reflecting the enormous volume of KPK workers seeking employment in GCC countries.
Why Peshawar Has 28 GAMCA Centers — More Than Any Other City
Pakistan’s KPK province has historically been the largest contributor of labor to GCC countries — particularly Saudi Arabia. From Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Dir, Buner, Kohistan, and dozens of other districts, hundreds of thousands of workers travel to Gulf countries each year for work. This scale of labor migration means Peshawar needed a large, well-distributed network of GAMCA-approved centers across different areas of the city, ensuring that applicants from different parts of KPK can access a center conveniently without all converging on a single location.
The Gulf Health Council approved Peshawar as a WAFID hub early in the system’s Pakistan rollout, and the number of approved centers has expanded over the years as demand increased. Centers are spread across Hayatabad, University Road, Saddar, Cantt, Gulbahar, Dabgari, Kohat Road, Ring Road, and GT Road to ensure geographic coverage across the entire city.
What Documents Are Required for a GAMCA Test in Peshawar?
- Original passport with a minimum of 7 months and 21 days remaining validity from the date of examination
- 2 photocopies of the passport bio-data / photo page
- Official Wafid token slip — the appointment confirmation we send to your WhatsApp within 30 minutes of booking (mandatory, cannot enter without it)
- 2–4 recent passport-size photographs with white background
- CNIC copy for Pakistani nationals
- Sufficient cash for the center’s examination fee (Rs. 8,000–12,000 depending on the center and the GCC country)
- Visa copy or employment offer letter from your GCC employer if available — required for some GCC countries’ protocols
How Long Does the GAMCA Medical Test Take in Peshawar?
The examination at a Peshawar GAMCA center typically takes between 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on how busy the center is on that day and the GCC country your visa is for. The standard GAMCA examination includes a general physical check-up, blood tests (for conditions like HIV, Hepatitis B and C, malaria, and others depending on the destination country), chest X-ray for TB screening, urine test, and vision and hearing assessment. Peshawar centers that open early at 7:30–8:00 AM have shorter waits if you arrive before 9:00 AM, before the majority of walk-in applicants.
Choosing the Right Peshawar Area Center for Your Appointment
With 28 centers across Peshawar, applicants from different parts of the city or coming from outside Peshawar should choose their nearest area. Hayatabad centers (6 centers) are best for applicants coming from the western side of Peshawar and those staying in Hayatabad, Phase 1 through Phase 6. University Road and University Town centers (5 centers) are central and accessible from most parts of the city. Saddar and Cantt centers are best for applicants arriving from GT Road, Nowshera Road, or central Peshawar. Kohat Road centers are the most practical for applicants traveling in from Kohat direction.
Can Peshawar Applicants Choose Their GCC Country at Booking?
Yes. When booking your Peshawar GAMCA appointment, you will select the specific GCC country for which your visa is being processed: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, or Yemen. Each country has slightly different medical protocols. The Saudi Arabia medical examination, for example, is the most comprehensive and typically takes the longest. UAE and Qatar examinations are generally completed faster. The GCC country selection determines the tests conducted, the embassy that verifies the result, and the specific form printed on your report.
